1 night in Genting, 1 night full of Salute players

My cousins had many stubs of vouchers to be used under the Genting shareholders and we decided to book a night of outings in Awana, Genting.

It was a trip that full of laughter, alchohol, food and mahjong! It was a good trip and looking forward to many of these trips with close friends and family.

We started off our journey with a fulfilling lunch at Batu Caves. This place is famous for its Sang Har Mee. It was worth searching as we had tough time looking for this place. Indeed, I went with a confidence that it's not that tough to search this restaurant but I was wrong. It's confusing with all the small roads leading to this place.

Here's a pic of the Sang Har Mee. Full of roe, eggy sauce and the right tad of taste! Verdict, I'll be back again...!
It was raining perpetually the whole morning and afternoon. Hence, having a cold and windy weather in Genting is there. But driving up to Awana needs a little more focus as the road was covered with fogs. Seems like driving into twilight zone. Oh, another thing to take note. As usual, road signs in Msia needs some brain teaser. We came to a slip road where both signs show Genting, however the other sign says Hishamudin..something. Take the one with Hishamudin and it will leads you up to Genting much faster without going thru the tunnel and rest area. I'm not too sure how Hishamudin gets its name from here but trust me, it definitely cuts a shorter route.

We checked in to Awana Genting Highlands around 4pm. I notice there is a nice little garden under the head bridge leading to the reception area. In the garden, it has a nice manmade waterfall, ponds with koi fish and pretty planted flowers surrounding it.

It was my 1st time staying @ Awana, Genting and the rooms are spacious and cozy. Very nice scenery from our rooms overlooking the lush green golf course. Except for the buffet breakfast in Rajawali Cafe which was a dissapointment. The spread for a 5 star hotel is not on par. Hubby and I considered "lucky" as we slept till 10am. And of course with a baby in tow, things will be in slow motion. Hence, by the time we arrive at the cafe to meet the gang, it was closed for breakfast. Ha! So we ended up having bread with peanut jelly jam in the hotel rooms.

Nice and cosy room (pardon the mess we created)

This is the man made waterfall which I mentioned above

After checked in, we took a rest and had coffee and snacks in the room. A cuppa hot coffee or chocolate completes all. Zach too, enjoyed the weather and dressing him up with jumpers and beanies. Here's my little Z smiling happily there...

Zach had his share too in exploring the room

We decided to try our luck and we headed up for dinner. Sis and I went shopping and the rest went to try their lady and men's luck.

In between the journey up to the peak, 1 funny incident happen. A lost child was found later on when we are half way up to the peak. Pity the lost child as all of us thought someone is taking care of her but seems like everyone thinks that "someone" is looking after her. Ends up, she's Lost in Awana. haha.. :p. So, we had to turn back to pick up the lost child again.

Here are some pics to share ...

The night came and the mahjong table, wine and alcohol were never spare. 3 players were attended by a barman who are responsible in making 3 of them drunk. The 3 players mahjong-ing the night away till 4:30am in the morning with full of Salute and laughter to pack them home to bed.

In short, all of us had a swwwEeessh Time... :)
