Sometimes when you are bored, you try all ways to entertain or amuse yourself. I decided to amuse Zach and both were entertained by this "aka chipmunk" :)

T3 - New Terminal in Changi

Last night we took the opportunity to visit the new and spanking terminal in Changi. I was sending my brother off and thereafter we took a walk around the airport. Some of the shops were closed as it was around midnight. Nevertheless, I'm still very impressed with some of the shops and eateries which are still open. It even has NTUC which I find it rather interesting for an airport these days to have their local supermart in the airport. Basically, Basement 2 is more like a shopping heavan for those with last minute shoppings/souveniers. Also, there's a Watson just for those who plan to get their last minute toiletries. Is like a mini shopping mall at this level and it has KOPI~the local foodcourt and there are a number of stalls which are still open at this wee hours for late night travellers. Other local eateries like Ya Kun Kaya Toast set up a cool and relaxing place to hang out.

We have yet to explore the other level which they house a number of restaurants like Crystal Jade, Earle Swensen's, Dian Xiao Er, Sakae Tepanyaki, tcc... I'll definitely visit Changi-T3 again but of course with a reason. Anyone flying off from here, please let me know..haha....else my hubby will find it ridiculously wrong for me to "past my time" in the airport! Also, parking is not cheap there!

Here's are some photos I took using me N73 :)

Mini toons ~ lotsa knick knacks you can find here.

In future, if you happen to send a dear friend or suddenly you feel like proposing to your girlfriend or potential since he/she is off to somewhere (like tv soap drama..hahaha..) this is a place where you can buy nice gifts/flowers to your special someone!

V-Day

How do I spend my Valentine's Day? The night before, my lovely hubby bought me a stalk of rose :). I asked him, "why only 1 stalk?" ! :p See, married women is different from dating woman...Anyway, is the thoughts that counts right.... :)

On V-Day was the day that Zach had his 1st oversea trip, which is to Msia. He gets a little cranky towards the journey end which I guess he was tired sitting in his car seat and we have to wake him up early at 5am to feed him before embark. He only slept a wink during the 4.5hr journey and that makes him cranky.
We arrived KL around 10:30pm and we have to rush to his Godmom's office before 12pm for his blessing! It was such a coincident that his Godmom's office is having the lion dance and Rimpoche coming to bless the office. I took this opportunity to bring him for blessing.

Here's Zach being blessed by Rimpoche.

Here's Zach being blessed with holy water

He had his first encounter with the God of Prosperity but I didn't manage to capture any photos with him. Also the Lion dance was very loud and we have to hide in the server room :) Surprisingly, he didn't cry which I believe he find it very curious. His eyes were (as usual) very big and curious to know where's the noise coming from. I was then busy closing his both ears.

After the blessing we headed back home to rest and we had a good sleep.

Year of the Rat

Gong Xi, Gong Xi....!

I had a great time this year as my Dad and sis were down to celebrate the Rat year with us. We had both families joining the reunion dinner over at my place. I will upload the pics once sis transfered the pics into her laptop.

This year celebration was different from the previous as we have Zachary to join in the celebration with us! Also, we did a few visiting to relatives which I guess we had never visited them for CNY like donkey years! Glad that the relationship between our families are still growing and I'll try to pay them more visits!

Day 1, we visited my father in law to celebrate the 1st day of the Lunar New Year. Had lunch and Dad and sis went off to Mustapha for shopping. Later in the afternoon, we went to pray my mother in law and then to Waterloo Street for more praying :) However, this time is to bring Dad to pray the God of Duke as this year his chinese astrology sign offended him. There're 4 animals which offended the God of Duke this year which are Rat, Rabbit, Horse and Rooster. Prayed for brother too which I believe he don't even know I did it for him :p (he doesn't know all this). Since, it's the 1st Day of CNY all shops are closed. We went back early for a good rest and of course another round of steamboat (from previous day left overs) and Mahjong!

Day 2, we visited my bro's in laws place, Mh's godmom and my great grand aunt. We didnt move around from house to house as we suggested a meeting point at one of my uncles' house. I guess it's a good move as it saves everyone from shuttling here and there. By Day 2, my energy level dips as well as Zach. Again, all shops are closed and we had dinner at home. And yes, I can't believe it.... we had 3rd ROUND OF STEAMBOAT and mahjong again! hahaha....

Day 3, is recuperating day for us :) Just laze around and we had enough of steamboat! So we decided to explore the eataries in Bedok and quite a fair bit of shops has kick off their business. However, my favourite chwee kueh stall is still closed for the New Year. I'll do a post for this chwee kueh.

Day 4, we had lunch at Singapore Island Country Club with my aunts and uncles. It was a nice club and of course for the rich. To join as a member, you have to fork out around 6 digits of nos. Of course, we don't have such luxury to spend this amount hence we can just ride on! We had our lunch and this was our first lou hei! Here's a photo we took outside the entrance of the club...

Pre CNY Gathering @ Ng's residence

We had our pre-cny gathering yesterday and as usual it was a potluck. We had so much food and at the end of the day, all goes to "charity" which means the host has it all...not too bad with the left over and I had them this morning again for breakie :)

Will download the photos when I get hold some of them from friend. Didn't manage to take any as too busy with the foods and friends :) A review of the food we had yesterday and I would recommend the roti prata (the Singaporean way of saying roti canai) and the mutton and chicken curry is yummy (very malaysian-those who had roti prata in Sg will know what I mean), durian ice cream and the brownies! Here's a list of food we had yesterday...

  1. Roti Prata from Sin Ming's place near to LTA
  2. Durian ice cream from Scoopz, PArkway PArade
  3. Brownies from Cedele by Bakery Depot
  4. Char Kuay Teow
  5. Mee Goreng
  6. Durian
  7. Kuay Chap
  8. Some types of Japanese flakes (sorry, dunno what's the name) goes with Jap rice for the children - from Takashimaya
  9. Fishballs, otah balls and some other balls which I can't recognise (pls don't think otherwise)

and of course with some CNY goodies to complete the list above!

I'm glad that Zach was at his best behaviour yesterday which he slept thru most of the time. Also, yesterday was the mark of his 2nd month.
